Conquer the STARS!

The audit partner gave us a good scare by appearing at the doors of the client's when no one was expecting him. We were totally caught off guard at the "spot check". Luckily, I wasn't busy munching something at that time, there were no loose papers lying around and I was decently dressed. The room was so small, I was so afraid that he would walk over to my seat that I immediately closed all my windows explorer windows and msn, even my email. You know, they were just talking about the salary freeze and no-pay leave yesterday, and someone was harshly told off just the other day. *shudders*

Then in the evening the CFO paid me a visit in the room, just when my senior wasn't around. And he knows I'm from NTU, the partner must have told him during their meeting. The funny thing was he actually asked me "why do you want to work" when I thought most people would assume working is a very sensible thing. So I figured out he must be secretly wealthy so his children do not need to work during the holidays. Anyway I told my senior about his surprise visit and I was warned to be careful of those who are not to be trifled with at all. *double shudders*

I know, my entries have been so distasteful recently, it's all about work. Bear with them for a couple of weeks more and I'll resume my normal civilian life! :) :)

Those who have 8-week internships officially end tomorrow. DAMN. And, I would really prefer to be informed in advance if cell were to be cancelled next time. I can't mention the number of times my plans were thwarted, or I didn't want to date friends because I thought I would be taken up.
